Another one Bites the Dust (A Farewell to The Road)

I started this site to try to help the cause and help inform the owner operaters. I was an owner operator untill May 5. The high fuel prices have put me out of business along with the way most trucking companies rob the independents. This is a sad time for me as well as many others out there who are experiencing the same situation. Although I'm no longer an owner I am still a truck driver at heart. This business is in your veins, it's got to be something you love, and I do. My wife says it is my first love. She jokes and says she'd rather it be the road than another woman! I miss the road and the comradery of other drivers. But I will keep on keepin on and fight the good fight for my fellow drivers. Let's go get em boys!!!!!!!

DON'T STOP NOW!

Keep the momintum going. Sooner or later the Gov. will have to do something. Independents are dropping like flies, America is going broke, the American public can not take much more of this. Continue to call state senators and participate in shutdowns and protests when possible.  

New Association in the Works (Owner Operators United)

Call Your State Senators! ***************

Mark Kirsch of Pa. has requested that the word go out to all people, drivers and the public, to flood their state senators phones and e-mails. 1. We are asking the senators to take oil off unregulated trading walstreet markets. 2. Stop refunding big oil companies with tax breaks and take that money and cap fuel prices at 2.00 using the remainder of the funds to give to the elderly to help heat their homes!!!

The Truckers Voice will not be associated with rogue truckers or any violent acts committed by anyone durring these protests. Our goal is to help the trucking industry make a positive statement with positive results through peaceful protests that benefit everyone as a whole. We are against any and all negative and violent actions of any kind. We know for the most part that drivers are going about getting positive attention and are participating in a right manner. This is the way to get positive action. Going about things in the wrong way or a negative way that can cause the innocent to suffer or be harmed is seriously frowned apon by The Truckers Voice and other organized protesters. These kinds of actions will only hurt our cause and make the trucking industry appear as if it where out of control fools. We want to be taken seriously and gain the respect of the law makers and the public.
